I need a game for a 6 year old

Bought my son a PS3 over the weekend which came with GT5. Now before you recommend a game specifically designed for kiddies let me tell u a bit about his gaming habits.

I have an Xbox as well, well for a while now... He enjoys the following games:

Fifa 10 & 11
I find him playing my G.O.W 2 !!! - He actually loves this game...sneaks it in everytime
He played the LEGO batman for like a few mins then changed the game - not his style
Simpsons - he got sick of as well
Transformers - he got sick off as well

He likes shooters - for some reason but dont want a game that's too hardcore...

What's your guy's thoughts?

The move looks quite nice?
 
I dont own a ps3(have a xbox-360) but I would suggest little big planet? awsome game, maybe wipeout. Dunno about shooters though killzone is pretty hardcore, but not as bad as GOW :D
 
Dunno if its available for the PS3 but have a look at the Overlord series. Kids love it.
 
There's one called Crayon Physics for the young scientist at heart

little big planet seems like an online game really? don't have an internet connection at home just yet.

killzone seems nice -I can play it too then...

God of War 1 & 2 pack - I'll play this also
Iron Man 2
Mini Ninjas and Overlord and little big planet mentioned in this thread already
Tomb Raider
Virtua Tennis 09
 
Where are you located by the way - I actually want to sell one of those games you seem to be interested in.
 
I got the Move Starter Pack last night and Ghost Recon.... I quite enjoy the move myself, was playing the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 Demo last night. My son also enjoyed himself with quite a few of the other demo's. Nice stuff the MOVE.

Now list of things to get is,

Another Move Motion controller
2nd Wireless Controller
 
Looking at the list you posted of what you wanted to look into ...
Call me old fashioned, but I wouldn't quite call God of War a game for a 6 year old ^^ (no matter how 'mature' he might be)

Crayon physics / World of Goo / Peggle / Bejeweled might be a tad more age appropriate ;)

No God of War def not for a 6 year old... but if he's a GOW (Gears) fan then God of War can't be that bad?

Also I want GOW more for myself ...lol

Anyways - my son is really enjoying the move - so I 've managed to change his mindset about which games he like...lol
 
The God of War games are definitely not like Gears of War. Over the top violence and strong sexual references and scenes (with nudity) make it deserve it's Mature rating.
