I applied for the second time for ADSL...My Wife recieved a call from Someone in Pretoria saying that ADSL was Approved and gave her a reference number and that it would be installed on such a date...Now I'm a happy man
for the time being...Finally, the day came for Installation(Remembering I cancelled other activities for that day) I waited and waited I saw the Telkom trucks up and down our road
...Anyway 4.00Pm arrived noone from Telkom came, so I phoned and asked what's happening the Operator said "I will send them a message and will let you know"...The next day I waited again in hopes...That Afternoon I recieved a call from Telkom..."Good day this is Telkom" "Yes!" "Your Application has been cancelled as there is no equipment"
But my line is alright with the exchange" Then the Operator said yes it is but something to do about our line cables...I asked when Do you think I'll get It?...Operators reply "Oh maybe next week next month...I don't know"....Well that was really a waste of my time and Hopes...I was not only dissapointed but upset due to the fact I had cancelled 2 days activities in the hopes of getting ADSL...WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME...
PS: I do understand their conditions, that Only if it's available in your area...BUT Don't tell me it's approved and being installed on such a date...Only to find that on the 2nd day I can't have it...BAH
