I would like to port my office landline to a 8ta number - I am often not in the office, and then I 'hunt' the landline to my cell - meaning that I then pay for the incoming calls!

Works out rather expensive in the end. Porting to 8ta should remove my need for the landline, and since I will remain with Telkom the process should be a breeze! Seems like phoning landlines from 8ta is also very affordable.

Has anyone tried this, or know how it would work? I can't find any insight on the 8ta website.

Thanks!

Doubtful if they will allow this. Gnp and mnp is two completely different processes and I don't think this even possible internationally, let alone here.

It is a miracle that u can actually port ure telkom landline to neofail :-)

It wouldn't be possible as you'd be billing a caller cellular rates for calling a landline!

It's probably just as easy to call forward your landline calls to your cellular number and pick up the forward charge...

Landline numbers and cellular numbers can not be interchanged under ITU rules.

Thanks! No way I will port to Neosmell... So will stick to Telkom landline for now!
