Any one know of any good p2p clients that work well with iburst i using warez but its no longer working?
 
None. P2P is shaped to death unless you are on the 9gig package.

Use a socks proxy, http proxy, VPN or torrentbox.
 
Just apply on openweb.co.za and wait a while to get an account... you apply on the forums section by the way and you have to register first. This proxy works great for Limewire and Kazaa (very easy to set up) but i cant get it working with DC++, maby sockscap can do the trick?
And no, there are P2P apps that arent shaped on Iburst, eg. ****** (done for our own good) but the problem is that there is no multiseeding, so downloads are limited purely to one users upload speed, but you can acheive like 800kbits if you download from a few users, just has to be diffrent files though. Problem is that its not very good for anything except music and some video. Also heard of another P2P that was unshaped on some other forum... cant remember though, but they do exist, theyre just crap.

well, it is shaped as hell... but i seem to get my 64k on eMule, which is still half decent... yes it is slow, but stuff does get downloaded so at the end of the day who cares...
 
Why not join the local dc++ hub @ ibust.kicks-ass.net ?
 
I was wondering about that hub.. isn't it shaped as well, DC++ in general is? And if youre not capped when you go online there you are going to be very soon as you have to share and with Ibursts high upload rate you will shurely get alot of bandwidth usage? Is it only worth it once capped or what

TIP: never post a working P2P on these forums ... pm it or it won't be working much longer.

Exceptions to this rule are DC++ (reason it costs alot to start shaping inter iburst traffic why bother)

& Slim's torrent box (which cannot be shaped unless they shape all traffic to his server...which they aren't allowed to do)

Also why bother with these two above if one can disconnect 'abusers'

Oh and openWeb works well to and similar to slim's plan but very different

Yes, finally it works great!! We need more peeps. If your ass is capped get to the hub!
 
I know about hubs,torrents and p2p but warez I have never used, I have tried but I see alot of crap could I get sum links to good warez or how to use it
 
ah, finally there are some ppl on DC++ hub. first time in my life... still trying to figure out how to use it

Only ever been on there once to find like 2 ppl online! Will be joing you there soon though this month, only 400mb to go!
Will the fact that i'm in cpt make so much of a difference? Will I still get my 7 or 8kb off a user once capped.... Anyone actually tried connecting from Cape Town to this hub. Well I'll tell the other 10 or so kaapenaars if this works well or not if noone can tell me soon
 
Ekhaatvensters > U a matie? I'm in CT. I have downloaded on the hub (once capped as well). Runs at a maximum of 3kbp/s per file.
 
hhmmm, myles that must a a cpt issue, caus i was on 5G yesterday, and i was getting a movie from Stepper while he was getting music from me. He was getting 30kB/s from me and I was getting 40kB from him. We are both in JHB though, so mebe that is why. I really enjoyed the experience...
 
Nope not 'n Matie. 3kb kinda sucks... mic_y you dont mean that you were capped and getting 40kb right? I'll go see for my self soon anyway
