Hi Guys

how is it possible for SAOL to offer 30 Gb for R299 and the rest cannot match that...?

Diddy

Hi Diddy
As from 2st november, nobody can offer this. The ads will expire in a week or 2.

No Man

I just spoke to them now, they said if I sign up before end of Oct then 30 GB adsl will still continue..No jokes...

nrg ... no they are claiming that they will be able to provide this for at least 75% of their subscriber base ....

But if they can ... let's maybe not ask ... otherwise we might not be able to get it anymore ...

75% of their subscriber base

What is meant by this ...?

I wonder if ISP's are not above lying just to keep their consumer base... WA's hurting a bit right now... Maybe other ISP's cant afford to go through the same thing. How do your'll think SAOL is going to manage this?

ya what is the truth here...I hope there is no messing around.

If SAOL can do it why can't Web Africa or even the other guys....

If they lie, steal and abuse little telkom employees .. who cares ... as long as they can give good prices ....

You can't fight a monopoly, compete with other ISPs and STILL remain morally clean ... Just doesn't work that way

I was wondering about this the other day...do telkom staff ever get beaten up just because they work there? I know i wouldnt mind having "lunch" with a few of those support desk monkeys! :D

I reckon its gonna take way more than cheating & stealing to support this. Imagine for a moment people realise that this is legit. 75% of all ADSL consumers would sign up overnight! SAOL will have a huge consumer base, who'll all be pissed off when they cant deliver come 01/11. Either the source is clueless, or they're trying to pull a fast one on us.
BTW, I wish just like everyone else that this was legit, but I cant see it happening.

I just chatted to Axxess, asking them if they're going to make a similar offering. Firstly they said they're going to post a statement on their website today or tomorrow, and secondly they said that the SAOL 30gig account will only include 3-5gig of international access, the rest is local only.

I don't know how true the second point is, it's just what the Axxess guy told me.

I am wondering this too, I emailed Saol with the changes after Nov and they said my 30 gig account will not be affected?

I have my own bandwith too .... Give me your data on CD/DVD ... pay for my ticket to wherether you want it delivered and I'll use my bandwith to get it there .... latency might be a bit high but you wan't have any packet loss .... unless you buy me a SAA ticket ...

Guys, Please, lets not show how stupid we are, no one has there own bandwidth except Telkom, SAOL, could not afford to pay for 30GB accounts at R 70 per GIG come on ! Stop the B U l L S H 1 T !
