3GS V4.1 05.14.02 Unlocking?

A million apologies, I'm sure this has been asked a million times before, but I'm all searched out and gogle-pooped.

I used www.Limera1n.com to jailbreak, and am now stumped for unlocking the phone. As a total n00b, please could someone confirm whether it is in fact possible to unlock this phone? I'm at a total loss...

iPhone 3GS; Version 4.1; Modem firmware 05.14.02.

If someone could point me in the right direction I'd sure appreciate it :)
 
It can be done, if you use a custom firmware using the iPad baseband 06.15.00. Unfortunately you lose GPS functionality.
 
they will roll out the unlock for 4G/3GS on Jan 16, 2011, and untethered JB before Christmas!
