Can I ask what will surely be dumbass questions to you guys:
I've just had an ISDN2a terminal installed. It's useless so far, because brother Einstein at Telkom can't tell me what kind of modem/router I need between it and my PC. Another question I'm afraid to ask them is, what do I need - modem / router? to use my VOIP phone on the ISDN lines? The ISDN box has no USB ports - why do people refer to USB modems for use on an ISDN setup? My VOIP phone is a 'Swissvoice IP10S' - it has no USB ports, only the phone jack style jacks.
Any advice on getting this going would be seriously appreciated.
Thanks!
Al

Franna,

can you help me as well please. I have a Duxbury DSL/Cable Router plus ISDN Router Backup Broadband Sharing Gateway with 4 port 10/100Switch.

Telkom has installed an isdn 2a terminal for me, but i just cannot get this working on isdn. Does the answers that you gave to zed also apply for a duxbury modem?

The duxbury website does not have a driver for this modem and i cannot get help from the help desk.

the box also did not have a driver cd in. So something tells me that this device does not need a driver. so if you can help i'll realy appreciate it.

Radimpe - PM me with more details and I will try my best.

1) Duxbury model/name (Look for code on sticker)
2) What cable are you using to connect the device to the ISDN NTU? The normal analog RJ11 telephone cable will not work.
3) Have you tried to use the two analog ports on the ISDN NTU?

Hi Franna...Could you tell me if there are any special settings for DLink304...I have just obtained one and it's firmware updated...I have had some guys working on it ...it seems to work through other ISP's but mine(Absa) Any suggestions???
