MTN Port Elizabeth, still has no stock of HTC Desire HD

Hi all

heres my problem.

Basically i have been wanting to upgrade my contract on MTN (which has been due since october) to the HTC Desire HD, now i know for a fact that MTN in the major cities (CPT JHB DBN) have stock of this phone, so i ask why doesnt the PE branch? they havnt even gotten 1 device through.

I have been on the waitinglist for this phone for a very long time, since beggining november. every time i enquire a TOA on the device they keep on telling me to phone on thursday when new stock arrives, but it never arrives. this is pissing me so much you cannot beleive. are there any MTN reps who are not retarded and can help me?

also see this really considering moving to Vodacom
 
They are useless. There is no way to get personalised service, special request for a phone or for them to keep one back for you if you're away. Totally useless, the lot of them.

I'm in the same boat, same phone even. [& I'm in CPT, which supposedly has stock...] It's not available online, or I would have ordered it there and have it delivered. Double bonus, as I don't have to deal with the prawn at the MTN store.

Is there anyway you can escalate it? Find a manager or someone with some accountability. I reckon they advertised it knowing they had no stock. As GAME/Makro etc do, they should commit to supplying the thing as soon as it arrives, at the advertised cost when you applied for it.

Last time this 'no stock' rondf0k happened, by the time they got new stock, the device I wanted was R19 more per month. Makes one want to go postal :sick:

Mailed the Ceo's office to see what can be done to get you the phone.

This situation aint looking to good ATM, the stock warehouse appears to be closed til early January, still trying to organise something though...
 
yeah I called retentions, they aren't doing anymore deliveries till the 3rd of Jan, Merry Christmas. -_-
