just checked with my mate and he has this TV... I thought he did! its the only 50" Ive seen, but from what I have seen its flippin awesome...

Watched the soccer on it, along with some tennis in HD

This tv looks awesome, been reading up on it a lot. Most people are of opinion that it is an awesome awesome tv! Thinking of buying it next month!

Save your money and get the Samsung 3D LED TV. You'll thank me in six month's time, cos 2011 will be the year when 3D TV takes over.
 
Thanks for muddying the water kingrob, I'm not really that fond of 3d because of headaches and the prices are still ridiculous.

I have this tv and initially didn't like it. Took a lot of setting up to get it looking good. It certainly didn't look good out the box. I finally discovered good settings for it and now I'm quite happy with it except that it does make a fairly loud buzzing sound, which is a common criticism of this tv. Colour tends towards greenish but this can be satisfactorily tweaked. You can get a couple extra tweaks by fiddling around in service mode.

The built in media player is handy in a pinch but the playback is better on my ps3. I found the built in player had some audio sync issues which the ps3 did not. MKV support is nice though.

Overall though, at the price I got it for I can live with the minor irritations like buzzing and the need to heavily calibrate the thing - which really only needs doing once.
 
I've read about the buzzing sound but apparently it was only in some of the early sets that were produced.
 
50" TV will look much better there than that 32" :D
 
The model I have is a recent build, I checked the serial number. Unfortunately it seems the buzzing does indeed affect the 2010 build too. Just something to be aware of but not a dealbreaker.

When did you buy yours? and how loud is the buzzing?
 
I bought it a couple weeks ago. The buzzing isn't as loud as an xbox or ps3 hum but does add some irritating ambient noise that I could sure do without. First time I used it i did get a bit of a surprise though - Sounds a bit like a fridge (but not as loud) if you've got a decent sound system you probably won't hear it though. Or you might get lucky and get a set that doesn't buzz.
