Description:
Leisure Books/Leserskring, a division of MIH Internet Africa, currently has a challenging opportunity for an enthusiastic BI Developer. Your technical expertise in terms of qualifications and experience is essential to perform in this dynamic environment.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

• System analysis, design, development, maintenance of COGNOS and Reporting Services Reports
• Implementing according to standards and specifications
• Creates appropriate work documentation for assignments, such as user documentation and technical documentation
• Ensuring daily operational issues are resolved and overall stability of the system
• Support BI environment from an operational point of view
• Provide support to other members of the team and user base

Requirements:
The successful incumbent will need the following:
• Matric plus relevant diploma, degree in the field of Computer Science e.g. BSc degree
• 5 years Business Experience using the COGNOS Product Set
• At least 3 years experience using Microsoft Reporting Services
• Strong BI Design
• Strong Database and SQL (Especially SQL Server 2005)
• Exposure to a .Net (C#, VB) language would also be an advantage
