Telkom special thanks to...

We would like to thank the idiots in our government for allowing us to charge 20 times more (in absoluite terms) that they charge in the UK for the same services, and keeping South Africa the most expensive place in the World as far as broadband is concerned...

Nice one MaD. Would you mind if I use it on antitrust's flyer?
Not at all ;) will be making a high-res version which will be on the site for download as well..

the topic header is completely misleading and incorrect. It is completely impossible to use the words "Telkom", "vision" and "values" in the same sentence, unless "will never have" is included as well. 'Tis a shame.

Oh, no, you're wrong there.

In Telkom's value system, Karma is measured by profit. And their vision is to be the telecommunications company with the highest karma in the world.

After all, there's nothing wrong with that, is there?

Not if you have a de facto monopoly supported by government.

There is nothing to lead. Not if you're the only one allowed to provide a service that is in extreme demand. I wonder what the hell they want to lead? To lead you need to be a leader. How can you be a leader if you have no one to compete against. Doesn't make sense at all.

I'll literally eat my shoe if a car dealer sells me a car that is 20 times over-priced and has the odacity to tell me he has heart for me. Yeah, sure as crap he will need heart for me because I paid through my nose.

Our Values
> We are proud and passionate about who we are and what we do.

It's probably time that the person who thought this up get a wake up call. Nuff said here.

> We will act with honesty and integrity.

They probably do try a little, but it's a terrible drag to be innovative and driven like the same companies oversea's. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. They have no incentive to be innovative or driven.

> We will promote an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit.

Really? My dog in my backyard is actually a lion. That's all I got to say here. The statement above is too pathetic to even comment on.

> We will treasure diversity.

Yeah, yeah..

> We will not sacrifice or give up on any of our values.

It's time people realize that Telkom is not producing values when it comes to broadband being almost the most expensive and lagged behind in the world.

Didn't realise that crooks and rapists had vision and values. I think we need television (far-seeing) instead of these fancy words
