This is written with insite into both sides as i was a i-burst subscriber for almost a year using it mainly for on-line gaming and have now had ADSL 512K for 6 months.

point scoring system.

ADSL uptime has sucked the last few months where as
i-burst although did not have perfect uptime in general over a period of a year there uptime has being better than
ADSL.
(SCORE/ i-burst 1/ ADSL 0)

Although i still had lag with i-burst at least i did not have to use a VPN just to connect to the game to stay on for more than 2 minutes without loosing my connection
(SCORE/ i-burst 2/ADSL 0)

Pricing i-burst R 599.00 1 meg
ADSL R arm and a leg 512K

OK screw the point system ADSL will loose hands down anyway my main point is that if you want to use ADSL for
gaming then expect to pay at least about R1000.00 per month to get a unshaped 4 gig account which i'm not sure would even work..this will be my last attempt to try to get ADSL TO WORK PROPERLY.

WORDS OF WISDOM :If you expect the grass is greener on the other side and change to ADSL for on-line gaming and belive all the false advertising Telkom spew forth about how good ADSL is for downloading and on-line gaming Dont be fooled as i was. My 56K dialup was better than this CRAP.

Telkom you can come suck my &%#$7 you bunch of *&^%$ you can all go and get $#@%$#.

International online gaming perhaps, local gaming ADSL shaped is by far better than iburst.

when i had iburst i had like a ping of 200+ on fps, rts games where not too bad i used enjoy play C&C generals on iburst.

I have both iburst and Adsl 512 with a shaped WA account
Honestly iburst is better for everything international. Better browsing, better downloading, better skype and better wow.
This does not so much reflect on how well iburst is doing rather how screwed saix shaped bandwidth really is.
I am lucky though to have a decent connection to a relatively unloaded tower.
