As per thread title... I'm getting agitated with them. Their site sucks, their online purchasing mechanics suck and generally, I've been fine with that.

However, there's something about e-mailing their [email protected] and not receiving a response that annoys the hell out of me. I've been waiting two days, going on three, for an e-mail. I e-mailed [email protected] as well (only other person through them I've ever had contact with) and nada. It's not like they have an awe-inspiring list of people to contact about online orders, eh?

So I'm becoming fairly irritated.

Anyone know who I can contact about a simple pre-order question or if anyone else has experienced such foul service?

nope. been flawless service, but then again i always opt for pay instore + pickup instore over deliver + pay online. i would suggest phoning...

...as a matter of fact i was impressed with glen on monday morning 07:32:49 am giving me response on something that i've pre-ordered when they was closed for holidays.

Damn this is not good, I was going to place an order at BT Games online...don't really feel like going through a similar experience, hopefully you get your ish worked out and please let us know the updates.

Lucky you. And I don't want to phone them, otherwise I wouldn't have e-mailed them. All I wanted was a simple, concise response to a simple and concise question.

For the record, I've pre-ordered and paid for in-store collection. All I wanted to know was whether or not, should release day arrive, I'm unable to collect it, whether (because it's paid for) I could pick it up in my own time as well as whether or not they text you to say you can collect.

I've only ever ordered from them before with the intent of courier delivery.

I just find it ridiculous that it seems they don't respond to my e-mails, especially if you're fortunate enough to be responded to during a time when they're supposed to be closed. What, have they placed Gmail addresses on spam then or just mine?

Meh... I'm just frustrated today

Look, I don't intend to trash BT, they're one of the best there is and they take excellent care of their stock and the times I have used them they've been brilliant. It's just that I would've liked a response yesterday. What if I wanted to cancel or a refund? Meh...

I'm just annoyed right now :)

I know you don't want to, but I'd phone them personally.

I would have phoned them if it was that urgent (refund or damaged goods or whatever). It's just not necessary to call them. As I said, it was a simple e-mail asking a simple question. I just found it a bit silly that they didn't respond within 48 hours, bearing in mind that I have two pre-orders pending with them.

Makes me suspicious about whether or not everything is going to go smoothly in the first place. If I lose my Signature Edition (Dragon Age 2) or my Deus Ex Augmented Edition because something "went wrong" somewhere, I will be Rent-a-Mob aaaaaaaaaaaaangry.

Call me paranoid :)

You win some, you loose some, unfortunately.
I have ordered stuff from them a number of times and since the closest store is 400km from me, they deliver with no problems what so ever. The one game was something like R50 if I recall, it was at my door in record time. I had problems with other on-line stores and their delivering companies who refused to deliver to my house, even a R9000 order.
Once in a while the wheels just don't turn as it should.

Same here and since I've done that, never a problem. Actually all the games I've bought in the last year has been online with BT Games.

So it's a personal thing? They... they don't like me?
Perhaps your email is going straight into their spam filters.
Do you regularly get "ignored" by other companies that you email?
Are you using a dodgy email address?
Are you using a free email address that does not "look" like a name?

Dunno ... possibility.

It's possible.

No.

No.

E-mail address is basically <surname>.<initials>@gmail.com so also no.

Dunno ... possibility.
*nod* :)

Or they don't like you... :P

I'm starting to get this distinct impression :)

If InsertRandomBuyerHere pre-paid for goods, failed to collect on release day, then InsertAnyStoreHere re-sold said goods to other buyers, there'd be like 237 billion threads about it.

As I said then, I'm paranoid. All I wanted was a bit of reassurance which I haven't gotten. Maybe tomorrow...
