"Creative" Bandwith-usage monitoring from some ISPs

Hi All,

Have any of you experienced any inconsistencies between your bandwidth calculations and the ISPs bandwidth calculations?

I've had this problem with 2 ISPs already, where their numbers differed from those I calculated on my firewall and PCs. Don't want to name any names as yet, but I just wanted to know if anybody has experienced such problems.

This is only happened on ISPs that monitor their own bandwidth, not the ones that use the saix bandwidth monitor.
 
yes - higly inconsistent for the past 2 months - in a good way though! - I dont want to name names either.. heheh...

Yeah, same here. :confused:
 
Yes - I had the same problem the other day. They capped me.
They sorted it out when I complained tho.
 
yup .. me too ... they seem to be duplicating the the stats ... not sure if the same is happening with u guys

But in an alternate universe that my mind lives in, you don't have to call to get your own back ... oops .. wrong advert ... you don't have to call to stop getting shafted...
 
yup duplication.. annoying. hope mine gets sorted soon. happen to me for the 1st time this week-end.
