I finally got on the chat bandwagon with whatsapp on my nokia, so i bought a 100MB data bundle for R80, started to chat and realised that 100MB is not going to go very far.

Has anyone had any success with blackberry messenger service on the nokia, and would this be a viable option.

How in gods name did you use 100MB on whatsapp... are you sending mountains of movies and pictures? I use less than 30MB on whatsapp per month.

I might be mistaken but I thought RIM dropped suppert for blackberry services (BB Connect) on thrid party devices. Even when it was around it only worked on a select number of devices.

Even then I don't think BB connect was free like BIS.

I did not know that the R80 for 100MB option is still available. I was going to go for the R49 for 75MB one.

Nevertheless, I don't know if you can start your chat through Opera Mini because you can apparently save 90% of your data by using Opera. I was doing fb using Ovi and I used up R60 in one day. Since I installed Opera Mini S60 5.1 for my Nokia E5, I've still got R10 from my R35, which I loaded a week ago. I have also been browsing the internet (e.g. visiting MyBB) as well on this R35 with Opera Mini.

You can get opera from the Ovi store or you can download it from the opera website onto your computer and install it onto your cell.

okay so i take it the blackberry messenger service is not a option any more, so i will have to manage my data. Will try the opera option.
