Description:
The MWEB Connect division in Cape Town currently has a vacancy for a Head of Products reporting to the General Manager, who will be responsible and accountable for the full current Connect product portfolio and defining strategy for the future.
Job Outputs:
- Define strategic direction for the Connect product portfolio – Oversee and execute portfolio strategy – Exploit underlying IT infrastructure to deliver business objectives – Responsible for budget and driver targets for Connectivity and VAS – Continually make improvements to product set – Responsible for business and product feasibility in relation to business modelling, forecasting sales potential, costing models and target market assessments – Oversee all revenue and expense targets per product line – Manage a team of Product Managers who are responsible for the full Connect product suite – Act as an official spokesperson for MWEB Connect products – Be an advisor on all connectivity and VAS offerings to the Connect Management team
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in commercial or technical field – Sound knowledge of Internet Service Providers and Mobile products and services – Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project and MS Visio – 5 Years management experience in the ISP or telecommunications industry preferable – Proven experience with presentations to senior management and external stakeholders – Previous experience in product implementation – Proven track record in delivering on objectives and targets
