Hi All, Does anyone have experience of downgrading during a month and then upgrading again towards the end of the month. How does it work and how do I go about it, and does it reduce your DSTV subscription. Also if I wanted to change from PVR to normal dstv, would I need to change my decoder as well, or could they just disable the 2nd channel? I really wish they would bring out stand alone sports bouquets. :D

I have downgraded from Premium to Compact, still watched sweet bugger all, so from Compact to Select 1 I went and am satisfied! Sport is really not worth more than R500 for me.

You get charged pro-rata for whichever package you are on, you can only downgrade once a month though

OK, say you down grade from the 2nd of the month, can you upgrade again about the 20th for example?

How about R300 for SS1, 2 and 3?
I would pay that-- I watch very little of the "entertainment programmes" . I download what I want to see in those categories

You can have compact and pay the R60 (?) For the PVR fee which turns out to be a great saving, provided that other family members don't nag you.

If you upgrade only during major sporting events, and downgrade for the rest of the time, you'll actually save yourself a pretty penny during the course of the year.
I plan to upgrade from select to premium for the cricket world cup and then downgrade after that up until the next major event.Sport is the only thing that doen't get repeated so whatever you missed on compact or select will eventually be shown when you do eventually get premium.

Good point.

The only sport that messes you around on that score is F1!!!
