guys, great news. i heard on the news tonight that judge hlope (sp. lol) - the one involved in the racism scam - has told telkom that they cannot implement the 1st november changes in a court ruling.

anyone got more information on this?

ok, now i heard that the nov 1 changes will only not effect the one ISP - DOTCO i assume.

any clarification on this?

i wonder if the prices will not effect WebAfrica as well, since WA took it up with DOTCO..?

damn. there's gonna be a lot of forum reading in the last couple days of the month ;)

WA also lodged a formal complaint with ICASA with/in conjunction with DOTCO/AYCE - WA did not do a high court aplication, and - WA have a different contractually worded contract with teklom - WA's legal did not feel that they would have been succesful with their court application, because of the different contracts.

What stoke said. If we went to court we would almost certainly loose. (the contract wording is so one sided). We can't gamble our entire company on something like that as much as we want to fight them. (since we would then be liable for staggering retroactive billing). Even a huge reseller MWEB would be seriously crippled if that were to happen.

Believe me we discussed it at length. This is positive, but remember its a temporary interdict. Dotco have our full support for December. In the meantime we are still pushing ICASA and if that fails then a possible competition commision complaint. And if DOTOCO succeed, then we have grounds for an interdict.

yeah.. that Johan guy seems nice...sadly.. either way we're all getting shafted on the 1st.

well, our company is now looking at getting a DataPro 1MB uncapped solution (cheaper than 30GB after 1Nov)

Anyone got any comments on DP's 1MB uncapped?
