Telkom FLLA with own ISP? or Wireless Broadband in Midrand

Hi Guys,

I live in Midrand in an estate which does not have Telkom copper infrastructure. Ideally, I would have went with ADSL.

“Fixed Line Look Alike Is a basic landline voice service provided over W-CDMA using a fixed geographic number. The wireless technology is an alternative for areas with limited or no copper infrastructure.”

I see that one is able to use their Do 3G with FLLA, but was wondering if I could use my own ISP ie. would an ADSL account work with this?
Do 2G is expensive (R349 + FLLA rental is R133).

Any alternatives I could consider for affordable wireless internet in Midrand (Sagewood area)?

Telkom is calling it a “fixed line” service with fixed line rates, but it is using Cellphone technologies. So you will not be able to change your service provider.
