Hi all,
We transfer in the region of 130Gb of information to/from one of our servers per month. How much kilobits per second do we transfer? :D
It sounds like a standard 3 math problem, but yes, I am looking for the answer :D Or more to the point, confirmation of the answer that I got :confused:

My math sucks
google says there are 2629743.83 seconds in a month
130gb = 1090519040 kilobits (http://www.maths.hscripts.com/bandwidth_calculator.php?inp=15+526+912+02&opt=bytes&ev=0+byte+&va1=0&va11=0&va12=0&va13=0&va2=0&va21=0&va22=0&va23=0)
414.686415 kilobits per second? or more specifically 420.724938 for september as its only 30 days (2 592 000 seconds).
I assume 130Gb is 130 Gigabyte.
130GB = 130 x 1024MB ( 1024MB = 1 GB )
= 130 x 1024 x 1024 KB ( 1MB = 1024KB )
= 130 x 1024 x 1024 x 1024 B ( 1KB = 1024B )
= 130 x 1024 x 1024 x 1024 x 8 ( 1Byte = 8bits )
= 1 116 691 496 960 bits / 1024 ( 1024b = 1Kb )
= 1 090 519 040 Kb
September = 30 Days
30 Days = 30 x 24H
= 30 x 24 x 60 min
= 30 x 24 x 60 x 60 s
= 2 592 000s
So: 1 090 519 040 Kb / 2 592 000s
= 420.725 Kb/s
....which will cost about R10000 with the new prices :)

130Gb/m = 4.33Gb/d
4.33Gb/d = 0.18Gb/h
0.18Gb/h = 184.88Mb/h
184.88Mb/h = 189326.22KB/h
189326KB/h = 3155.43KB/min
3155.43KB/min = 52.59KB/s
52.59KB/s = 420.72 kbps
EDIT: Oh, and then I found this:
