Getting rid of head lice

Just reading about lice - my head started to itch!
We found the best way to be simply using the comb, and baby oil to make them slide off the hair more easily. Takes a bit of time, but there are so many bad stories about those shampoos.

shave off all hair .... be done with it! We read in the new year pamphlet for my laaitjies school that u gotto boil all the bedding!?!?! eish .. surely it will shrink?

My wife is a hairstylist and I just asked her: You wet the hair with vinegar (normal elchepo stuff) and then dry the hair with the hair dryer set to its hottest setting. Cheaper and better than chemical treatments and its what professional hair salons do - not that they allow people with lice into the business as it requires an entire scrub down of the premises (not fun to spend your Friday evening doing it).
