Hi,
Does anyone know of any ISP that still offers the DSTV Satellite dish download option? Satellite download using the DSTV dish, telephone dial up for the upload.
I used to get it from Tiscali before I canceled, and now that they have been bought out by MWeb it is no longer offered.
Is it possible to get it to work with ADSL as well?
Regards.

you would use ADSL as your dial-up connection.
And i don't know if there are any of those providers left. The only ones now are dual sattelite, where every goes via sat.
Try www.infosat.net they might help

Does anyone here currently use Sainet's satellite internet? What are the speeds like? I am considering combining my ADSL with satellite internet as I still have my satellite receiver card from when I had satellite internet with Tiscali. I only cancelled because I went to the UK for few months.

Thanks noswal but that thread is about 2-way satellite internet which is too expensive for me.
What I want to do is combine my ADSL with 1-way satellite internet. I used to have this when I was a Tiscali subscriber before I cancelled it to go to the UK for a while. I still have the receiver card that I used then, but neither Tiscali nor M-Web offer satellite internet anymore.
The only ISP that I know of that still offers it is Sainet. I have been trying to get a test account from them to test the service for over a week now but I am still waiting. Are there any other ISPs that also offer it? Or can you get it from Infosat themselves without going through an ISP?

AFAIK Sentech took over Infosat
