I can't help but BEAT tinman oke to these posts;

LA Times is reporting that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be hitting shelves this coming November 2011, despite all of the legal issues surrounding the series and Infinity Ward.

Activision has quietly tapped Sledgehammer Games, a Northern California studio, to help out with the making of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, according to people familiar with the situation. The game has not been officially announced by Activision. But the title is well into production and is expected to come out in November, the same month that the publisher has annually released a new Call of Duty installment, people with knowledge of situation said. Modern Warfare 3 will be the first game Infinity Ward has produced since the departure of of company co-founders Jason West and Vince Zampella.

People close to the matter said Infinity Ward is working closely with Sledgehammer, which is led by a team recruited away from Activision's rival Electronic Arts Inc. The two studios are equally sharing duties of producing the single-player portion of the game, the sources said.

Activision has also brought in Wisconsin-based Raven Software, which is working on the online multi-player elements for Modern Warfare 3, sources said.

I hope it carries on from where MW2 ended... :)

Infinity Ward isn’t the only one working on the next Call of Duty title, which is expected to be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The latest news that it is an all hands on deck project to make sure that COD:MW3 makes its still unannounced November 2011 release date.

Whispers that we hear seem to indicate that Activision has tasked resources from both Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software to assist with the project in order that the title can be finished in time for release. Reports suggest that Sledgehammer will be greatly reducing work on its upcoming Call of Duty spinoff title in order to assist Infinity Ward with the single player experience in COD:MW3. Raven software, which has in the past worked on map packs for COD projects, will be tasked with providing resources to work on the multiplayer of COD:MW3.

While Activision has yet to officially announce COD:MW3. It is expected that Activision will officially announce COD:MW3 at E3, according to our sources, where they are expected to announce that it will ship in November 2011.

While Activision has not confirmed the reallocation of internal studio resources to the project, multiple sources are indicating this is indeed what has happened. Sources are indicating to us that we should now assume that this will delay the Sledgehammer COD project, but it is unknown how long this delay might be, because little is actually known about the project or the timeline for completion.

Only time will tell, so not going to get excited so long before any details are available

Let's hope that the CoDs learn how to lean at least. It's the one major thing I miss, especially when I can do it in MoH, Splinter Cell, Half Life, and I'm sure even in Lemmings and Worms...

Meh, im bored with call of duty games now, it will have to be really amazing cause black ops got old really fast,im more interested in homefront, bulletstorm, killzone 3 and crysis 2

Not buying it till I've read the reviews and heard what other people say about it.
Not making the same mistake I did with black ops

You guys all get shafted by these CoD games and still want more? Is CoD: BO not enough for you?

i luv all my cods, got them from cod 2 and will keep getting them.
going to be awesome year with cod 8, gears 3, uncharted 3.
black ops is actually pretty cool online, but cod 4 online was still the best

Infinity Ward is working closely with Sledgehammer,
Infinity Ward is dead. 83% including the top people left for Respawn Entertainment. And they expect remaining 17% + new people to carry half of SP? lol

im more interested in the game respawn entertainment is working on, if any one can make a COD killer its the guys who created COD in the first place, mw3 has the potential to be a disjointed mess with 3 different studios working on it, hopefully not.... the use of the mw2 engine is a huge plus.... love the smoothness of that engine, one of the main reasons mw2 > black ops for me.

actually its just two studious, not counting infinity ward since its only a shell at this point.

Maybe new talent is what this franchise needs.

We can speculate untill we are blue but the final product will determine the outcome.

The problem is that we have two camps here on MYBB 1. BFBC 2. COD
Now we all know that 90%wont defect to either side so the COD people are stuck to what we get or something different.
Currently there is nothing else so we will just have to be happy with the half working COD.
Yes we wil complain both sides of the fence but that is just normal.

i hope it's better than black ops :) really enjoyed mw2.

Activision is making the same mistake as EA did with nfs..Overdoing it and just making the game worst.
Am over cod and nfs games..
The only games am looking forward to this year is the new batman and Diablo 3 And dota2 the offical game.

Acid0, do yourself a favour and try MOH... It is a best of both worlds kind of situation...
