Telkom vs. SNO - who would u choose

If Telkom and the SNO offeres exactly the same service at exactly the same price - who will you go with? Would you stick with the devil you know, or would you change over to the SNO in a heartbeat purely based on principle?
 
I think for most people that's a no brainer.

Drop Telkom like it's hot .... drop it like it's hot.
 
same.. price must be cheaper to move cause you have the extra inconvenience of changing the number. other people will disagree.. but when it comes down to it, if its as expensive i see no point.
 
Man, I'll definitely change just on principal, even if they charged an installation fee..
 
The SNO is non-existent! ...they havent established a customer focused reputation yet.
so I would rather pick the Evil I know. as the saying goes... "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer"

That should be a non issue with number portability in place, which will hopefully happen at the same time. So yes, if I get ADSL and keep the number I switch.

Hell, I will switch the home line even if they are more expensive, but the office I will wait till I can keep the number.
 
i will definately change to the SNO.The only prob is,they will be using telkoms lines so i doubt it their prices will be less than telkoms.i hope telkoms prices drop coz i dont want to apply for another line and wait 2 months to be installed.
 
I will wait and see what they are offering, since I dont use any Telkom service directly
 
oooo, MaD sure knows how to put these things to make them difficult. My *cough* 'Passionate' side would say F*** Telkom and jump over, but then I tend to be more logical person *cough* (again)

The SNO will have a better infrastructure, but their service standards remain unknown. Telkom has 'experience' (who am i kidding? that doesn't count for sh*t with Telkom) but their 'service' 'standards' are well known...

Switching over would be a gamble. But i won't kid myself - any service will be better than Telkom, as they say "You can't go lower than Telkom" (okay okay, they don't say that, i say that :P) but you get my drift.

so after all my inane banter and basic time-wasting - YES, i would change over.

Its a SNO brainer for me :D Telkom havent given me a single reason to want to stay with them, their products are useless the support for said products is fitting and their prices make me cry tears of blood. The SNO will have newer infrastructure with (hopefully) a more global view of broadband and eventually im sure they will get access to/ build their own cable for international bandwith.

At the same price I would jump ship like 3rd class passengers on the Titanic.
 
As I will not sign contracts I will base the decision on best performance at the time with total cost a major consideration. I will use the SNO as priciple to get TELKOM in line, but looking at BT you will waste time and money as Telkom is even worse.

Thus SNO stack your cards on the table and let us decide what to do SOONER THAN BL@@DY LATER!!​

i will change to SNO as soon as i can keep my number while doing so! this should happen within a few months of the SNO getting started, plus it gives some time to see how their performance is...
 
All things being equal, I'll change faster than a Vegas Showgirl. ;)

Not quite the case - only if SNO gives better prices and good service / reliability
 
I will only consider the SNO if the pricing is ok.

It will be of no use if the SNO to Telkom rates are more expensive that Telkom-Telkom.

If I decide to use the SNO for my business, it will also contain an element of spreading the risk of telephone failure and the impact of such on my business. I doubt if I will be 100% SNO, but also I will most probably not stay at 100% Telkom either.
