whats gonna happen with this ? since the capping is a hard cap and isp's are resposible for bandwidth used are they going to charge clients for over-runing the cap ? Ok the session timeout is now 12 hrs but that does not mean there won't be over-runs of just a few 100 MB cause people have 1Mb/s lines too. this could kill isp's.. with additional costs and i have not seen many let alone any with clear rulings on this.

Don't know yet whether this will apply to telkomsa.net ISP accounts - we have not been informed yet by telkom as to what they intend with their users

Any ISP's got plans wrt session timeouts, extra charges for overuse etc ?

This is quite a serious problem. Im sure every user by now know the trick for extra usage, so how many of them would use this method or rather feel sorry for the ISP?

Ouch.

My guess is that the ISPs will force a session reset 5 minutes into the next month - that way you only get 5 minutes overrun, and the new session counts towards the next month.
Not sure how Telkom's AAA set-up will handle 100 000 reconnects within 5 minutes tho :P

poof goes an esr haha.. but yeah it is a problem cause you don't want to hurt existing clients with reconnect/session timeouts but at the same time there's no real time way currently. And not everyone will reach 3GB near end of month.. i now i will only reach it in the last week but others ?
