I've moved from Centurion to Randburg. Telkom says it will take 30 to 40 days to get a port. So it will basically take 2months, leaving me without internet for 2months. I'm looking at wireless option but dont want to sign 24month contract and paying over R2k for equipment that I might only use for 6months(when SNO comes up with something better) is also not an option. Any ideas???

I would say (personally) GPRS/EDGE/3G is your best bet - yes, you are gonna pay much more, but it gives you a lot of flexibility in terms of how much you are willing to spend and for how long. As long as you are happy with only e-mailing and web browsing.

This is only for the 2 months period - after that hopefully your ADSL line will be back online.

Other option is perhaps looking to buy a second hand IBurst/Sentech modem (some forumites were selling those) and taking out a month-month contract for one of these services?

You CAN always go back to dial-up. :D
