how many ppl that paid 225 for the 30 gig special from saol will actually have 30 gigs next month?

anybody?

Well how much is the SAOL's new 30 gig pricing? If it's R225 previously, my guess is somewhere around R2000 for the same now eh?
I had 30 gigs with Imaginet, but now have 3 gigs for almost the same price...... doubt I will ever see anything NEAR 30 gigs again.

@-FX- SAOL are running a special where some of their "loyal" customers, will still pay R225 for 30 Gigs. All other customers will pay their normal rates. I think Killadoob was asking how many of the customers have got the special.

I would have thought they would only find out as of 1 Nov.

Oh ok thanks Killkenny :) , I did not know about this offer to their "loyal" customers...... I wonder how on earth they can afford to finance that considering the current price increase? Unless they intend to cover that cost by building it into the prices of their new customers eh? ;)

Yep i heard from a friend of a friend that saol are letting him keep the 30gig for the same price

To clear the confusion ...

Many of our clients will retain their 10g(R259) / 20g(R279) / 30g(R299) specials for the month of November. From December they will need to choose an option from our current ADSL offerings :

ADSL 2 gig R 169.00 Incl.
ADSL 5 gig R 299.00 Incl.
ADSL 10 gig R 349.00 Incl. (Still a great deal IMO)

Email i got...

As most of you will know from our last correspondence, Telkom have implemented a new billing structure from 1 November 2005. Due to this new structure we have been forced to discontinue our "large cap" ADSL packages.

We are happy to say that we have managed to sustain your large cap account for 1 extra month, but all clients will now need to choose an option from our new range of ADSL products.

As of 1 November 2005 we will be offering a new range of ADSL products ranging from low cost basic packages to premium and unshaped packages aimed at businesses and multiple users.

All our new ADSL accounts will have "top up" capability, meaning that once the cap has been reached, the account can be "recharged" via our website or telephonically via our sales team using your credit card.

Hope this clears confusion,

...and yes 10 gig Option is a great deal! :D

Pity it is only 1 concurrent connection and not 4, so not such a good deal for those that use the same account at multiple locations.:(

I bought the 10gig @ R349 earlier this morning and judging by the quick email reply it looks like I will be a happy customer;)

I already received my login details and will login first thing tomorrow.
Pedantic is there a client area like at WA where you can view usage and manage your account on your website?
