iPhone is out of the question. Firstly, what exactly is the difference between the Desire and Desire HD? I know it's better but what's the exact reason. Can the Desire HD do email in the same way as BlackBerry can? Ie; handling more than 1 email account etc. Are there any other hot phones coming out soon that I should wait for?

Basically, the way it stands is Desire HD vs BlackBerry Torch? Contract renewal is on the 6th of Feb.
 
Between those two I'll say go for the Torch.

You mention email in your post that means that its important to you.

If free push email on the move is your main priority then any Blackberry will do.
 
Desire HD doesn't have push email - isn't there an app for email that does that?
 
Does Vodacom even have the Desire HD? Can't seem to find it.
 
Get the Atrix 4G!! Coolest phone in the world - it will be mine...soon...
 
If you want push email on the Desire HD, use Gmail.

You can add additional mail accounts to Gmail & it works really well.

I would not touch a Blackberry Torch, a friend has it & says the touchscreen is terrible. Stay away.

Considering the rumours that Blacberry might move over to Android as OS for their phones, it must tell you something about the Blackberry OS. :p
 
You can use other pop3 email accounts through Gmail can't you? If so then it definately seems like it'll be the desire. But as I said, does Vodacom have it on contract?

Yes, you can use any pop3 account with Gmail. Vodacom has it on contract, just go to any Vodashop or phone Vodacom Direct.

I have the Desire HD and it is a fantastic phone.
 
I have both - Desire HD and Torch. No contest - Desire is continents ahead! I hardly touch my BB! Slow and laggy compared to Desire HD

I wouldn't touch any Blackberry to be honest!
 
At the end of the day it all comes to what you need in a phone.

There's nothing wrong with a Blackberry. A year ago I had 3 or 4 friends who uses Blackberry. Now I have over 40 friends that use Blackberry.

Not one of them complain or will ever go back to another phone again.
 
go onto youtube and check the atrix 4G, motorola can actually make a phone!!! make sure u check out the way it turns into a PC
