Phoned the support desk and they said that IS hasn't enabled the new account packages as yet. Quite strange, as I thought they were with SAIX.

The have both offers. Also spoke to them 20 minutes ago, they're also suffering from a huge backlog so don't expect your account anytime soon.

On another note, by the sounds of things telkom are losing a lot of clients to IS.

I can vouch for that, Telkom is LOSING a hell of alot of clients hahahaha man this is awesome

Run this by me again? Do I have a choice of SAIX or IS through Imaginet? And if so, how do I select IS instead of SAIX, which I am on at the moment?

Yes Imaginet now offer 3+ and 5+ IS accounts, scroll down on the signup page.

Thanks Clipse.

I see that the 30 GB local is IS and not SAIX. Whereas the fixed cap (3GB, 5GB) etc. without the extra local bandwidth is SAIX.

No unshaped though...

Does anyone have any experience with World of Warcraft over IS? What is the latency and packet loss like? Any month-end woes on shaped connections?

Evern though there may be less packet loss with IS and a VPN, the LAG using a IS account is just way too much.

I would think twice before going to IS accounts we have their uncapped business line and since last night we have been getting a cool 1.2kb/s on international downloads. It appears taht is do not have the capacity to handle all these adsl connections.

I think I'll have to wait for a while.
