Swopping memory cards between phones (HTC Desire, Nokia 5800, SE X10 mini pro)

I want to swop around the memory cards in 3 phones.

How do I do this? Can I just cut the info from the old card and paste onto the new one?

I want to put the 5800's 8Gb card into the HTC Desire,
the HTC Desire's 4Gb card into the SE X10 mini pro,
& the SE X10 mini pro's (1 or 2Gb?) card into the 5800.
