I have an Uncapped IS account .And lets put this why International is non existent!I meen google even takes 1min + to open!!

Everyone seems to be having this problem, probably cos of so many new users.

SAOL (SAIX) international is normally very good. definately hundreds better than IS!

*edit*

the reason? SAIX use fibre optic undersea cables. IS use satellite bandwidth. and i hear that they can't handle all the new users who have moved over to them from SAIX. must be a lot of pissed off IS customers!

IS has aquired two more satellite (spell?) providers which will solve their international bandwidth problem... only from Feb though. they will then have 1Gbps international bandwidth.

Had this same international problem with IS since last week. Was especially bad over the weekend. Even the text browser Lynx did not succeed.

hmmm is this UUNEt all over again

over sell their product or is it telkom messing around hmmm

saix accounts just seem the best choice

I think it may be Cape Town specific. Any Joburg users having probs?

I would have loved to stay with SAIX, but unfortunately I need local access as I work from home a couple of days a week, and cannot be sitting in a situation when you get hard capped after the 3rd day of the month.

So like my dear departed grandma use to say:"Up yours saix!"

I had terrrible speeds last night (Potchefstroom, close enough to joburg). But have not had a chance to check and see what its like today

Just spoke to IS. SHOULD be resolved. Can you please confirm:

1. If you still have a problem
2. Your location

Then I can take the matter further

Out of interest, just tested an uncapped in Joburg, and its flying at 400kb international, so it does seem intermittent / location based.

I will defintely test it this afternoon when I get home, need to get the new f.e.a.r. patch !
