MTN still referring to their internet service has "world class"

While watching tv last night I came across an MTN advert, I think the product was called digilink ... not sure, it's the product that allows businesses to share a 3G connection in that advert they clearly refer to their internet service has world class and I'm pretty sure that were ban from stated that anymore.

I've seen that advert..... One word, Codswallop! It's one thing having the IT infrastructure in place, its another when you employ clowns to run it..
 
yep, looks like they're in violation of the ASA ruling although not sure how long the ASA gave them to remove the ad's. Also saw it on Supersport over the weekend were their "world class" internet ad also popped up a couple of times.

Well, most of people in the world are poor, malnourished and have no internet so maybe MTN are 'world class'.
 
They'll blame old contacts and airing of old ads which is out of their control. I say, if they have been told not to use it, they should be fined... BIG!!!
 
Ah yes, the Sharelink ad. Saw that yesterday evening. Also saw the "Scalectrix" world-class Internet ad sometime in last week.
 
just went to their website to check something out and they've still got "World Class" internet ads all over
 
What is going to happen if they flight it again or remove it? Who is gaining if they get fined? The fight is not about getting better services to us or lower pricing to the consumer, the fight is about who has the better ads, better network capability and who is ripping us off. Cell C is not even in competition with MTN because they do not have the backbone to compete or the transmission network to back them up. All I know is that they are trying to fool us to buy better packages at the "same" speeds and we are under the impression that we have a better service and paying more for it. Question is, do you have coverage all over for Cell C, Vodacom or MTN for that matter. Where I am staying, Vodacom and Cell C is a total no-no and this is in Johannesburg...I could not give a fying f***k whether the ad is flight or not because it does not hurt my pocket or put something in it...
 
The problem with the ads is that they are in contravention of an order by the ASA.

Speaking of which, two more cases of "world-class Internet". 19:25 on SABC2 and 19:34 on SABC3. Instead of wasting our money on those ads, they could always use it to upgrade the network.

Agreed fully or pass on the saving to the consumer instead of spending millions/billions on advertising a year.
