Samsung BX2450 LED Screen Feedback. Anybody have one of these.

I'm upgrading my current LCD screen and I am looking at the Samsung BX2450 24" LED screen. Does anybody have one of these and can give me some feedback on their experience with it. I have read quite a few mixed reviews ranging from average to awesome.

Going to be using the screen for gaming, photography and movies.

I have two of these babies setup for dual screen in win 7 - They are brilliant. I design websites and having all the screen area is a real plus. They are very bright and the viewing angles are great. haven't had any problems with the colours either.

I have run GTA4 and Liberty city on it full res and it is awsome.

movies not so great but it could just be that the screens are too high res and my copies of the movies are too low.
 
very good screen,running win7 and using it mostly for gaming,excellent colorsI am very happy with this monitor

Thanks for the reply.

Have you not tried original movies. What about pictures? Is the viewing angle good or do you have to adjust each time? Have you noticed any bleeding?

How long have you had yours and have you noticed any ghosting?
 
I'm in the same situation
Still deciding between the BX2450 and P2450H. Almost same price but obviously the P2450H is older.

Welcome to my boat Fuma http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/images/smilies/biggrin.gif The fact that reviews vary so much does not help either. But I have also noticed that sometimes they see things I would never notice. That is why I want "normal" people to give feedback
 
Decent screen for the price, although no difference in image quality over LCD, only a perceived difference because LED-LCDs are brighter.

Don't forget, IC and some online shops have the P2770H 27" beast for around R2300. IC requires a trade in of any old screen, even a 14" Tatung CRT.
 
I have also been struggling to decide between the BX2450 and the P2770H. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. But I think that I will rather have a 27" screen then a "led" 24" screen. Im pretty sure my failing eyes will not be able to tell the quality difference between the two.
 
I run a dual Monitor setup and having two 27" inches will not fit on my desk and secondly. Will it not put major strain on the graphics card?

Thanks but I still a space problem and I think sitting so close to that will screw your eyes for sure. I see you have BX2450. You happy so far? How long u had it? Better than the P2770H

I've had it for about 3 months, it's a very neat screen I like the clear edge to the bezel. As far as picture quality goes I think I, like 99 percent of people out there, can't tell the difference between 1 monitor and another unless they are side by side.

I bought the monitor to play games as I reckon a 24" is more suitable for that... I already have a 40" for movies and xbox though.

IMO if you can't watch the thing from a distance due to space constraints then there's no need for a big monitor.
 
i dont have one, but most guys say its awesome, i personally love the glass look like stand!!

I do a bit of photography as well and i find using lightroom over two screens brilliant - Colour reproduction is good. I haven't had to touch the screens setup since installation - only negative is that they might be a bit too bright in a darkly lit room for constant close-up use.

If it's just for yourself it should be fine. Viewing angles are good for a cheap LCD but nothing compared to a proper screen. I bought one on the weekend and played around with it a little but the viewing angles were not good enough so I gave the screen to someone else and just stuck with what I have. 2 x Samsung 245T's.

The BX2450 is a really nice screen however, just not for what I would use it for. Colour/brightness differ greatly with viewing angle.(Specially brightness when your head changes height relative to the screen.)

For Gaming the BX2450 is way, way better than the 245T, ghosting is nearly non-existant.

If Photography and design was not my primary use for the screen I would easily grab 2 x BX2450's, hope it helps.

Lol. Graphic design company, advertising company, perhaps even printing companies.

Or, just go an look at a iMac 27" and up, or Apple Cinema Displays. They're IPSes. :)
