My grandmother keeps getting "please call me" spam from an unknown number, up to 15 a day for past 3 days. It kinda looks like some possible scam, insurance salesman or whatever.
How do I block the number?

Place an ad in Junkmail advertising a job or cheap car/cellphone with that number!. It will ring so much no one will be able to send a please call me.

The number appears to be a 8ta number 0813...
Tried *121# and I got a number barring option, it asked me to enter the number of the MTN subscriber.
I did so, but just got the same message, don't know if it takes time or if you only capable of barring MTN numbers?

Doesn't work.
I need to somehow find a way to block an 8ta number with an MTN phone.

*140# gives my an unknown application error...
So you can't block numbers from other networks at all?

Do with it whatever you want.

How much does it cost to send a please call message with 8ta? My grandma is getting like 25+ of these messages a day now which is getting a bit absurb and if you call the number it goes to voicemail. The only thing I can think of doing is porting the number to 8ta just to be able to block it. Or is there a way to report a number like that to telkom so that they can ban the number or something?
There is no limit on please call me's from 8ta (free). I don't know about the blocking part, but if I can suggest something. Do not respond to any messages or calls etc. He's probably enjoying the reaction he gets from you.
