I exist only in my own mind ...
Looking at then various news reports one constantly sees articles which discuss how Telkom blocks progress, doesn't proactively work with others in the telecomms arena, goes out of its way in order to make it imposible for competitors to operate, places its shareholders and revenue streams way above its customers.

If you have telkom stocks then it's nothing but positive...pity it sucks so much for the rest of us.

Can't think of any "good" stories about Telkom that aren't propoganda started by Telkom themselves.

Well there was this one where telkom said they were gonna bring out adsl in za........turned out to not really be adsl i think but rather a upgraded version of dial-up.

The only good story about Telkom: "Telkom goes bankrupt, as all Telkom subscribers move to SNO"

That would be something "good"

How dare you mention Telkom and good in the same sentence?

LOL! Now I'm also guilty, 'cause I used both in one question! :D

LOL...I have been in the country since '83 and have yet to hear a good story about this crowd - I think it's wishfull thinking on Telkom's side, with them trying to get the proverbial Holy Grail...won't happen if SA users, ISP's and SNO can help it... :D

...Telkom sucks like Electrolux!

And the SNO refuse to employ any executives and PRO's and Steve Whites from Telkom because they were the main cause of the eventual ruin of Telkom

Telkom were very efficient in cutting my line off after non payment. They said "You have 3 days" and true to the word, on the forth day i was disconnected  Thats service.

...a bit like the town council isn't it...you pay for a service, the service is crap, there are interruptions and non-service issues, you refuse to pay them on this basis (or pro-rate the payment amount), they threaten you with all the force they can muster, they cut you off! You don't have a leg to stand on! ...and they then charge you an arm and your other leg to re-connect you!!! :D

It will always be a win-lose deal - with the users always losing!

Yes, their earnings is a good story. No telecommunication company in the world can rival their profit growth. Must be something to do with being a state protected monopoly!

Hang Telkom high!
