Hi Guys

Helping a friends choose a laptop.
Is this a good price for this spec of laptop

Samsung R530
Intel core2duo T6600 2.1ghz
3gb ram
500 gig hd
web cam, 15.6inch screen
512mb dedicated graphics
windows 7 home premium (32b)
1 yr warranty

Price is R 3999
Googled and on 12 other websites....cheapest is R 5622 that I've seen (thats R 1600 cheaper than any of them...anyone seen it at a better price?)

What do you guys think?
 
Where you getting it from? Check if it's a reputable website. It could be a gray import, so while it has a 1 year warranty, you might find that it's void!
 
if all is proper i think that you have just made a killin
please tell if the place is ligit and all is in order

Seriously, that post is more crappy than the Samsung lappies your dissing. I would never encourage anybody to get a Fujitsu - the brand that gave me the biggest headaches during my techie days.

Really? I have samsung laptop and its awesome. I've had issues with HP before and my friends who bought Fujitsu regretted their discisions (mechanical problems etc).

Only one other brand that worked out very well for me are the Lenovo (IBM) Thinkpads.

But hey, different experiences for different people

hyde park and galleria i know have stock, not sure abt other stores...

sometimes when its too good to be true, it just might be a SALE. lol
 
They don't have it on the website, strangely enough...or am I blind?
 
wabbit, call them, ask them to keep one and go buy it.
sometimes u cant rely on the web man...
u know what u gotta keep your eyes on...those local newspapers with the pamphlets in em...

got 24k off my car looking at those papers...nowhere on the web was the deal advertised...but a dealership had a special and i got lucky...same with this lappy...call em and go get it...
