Where do they find these people :wtf:

i think there's too much at play in the modern day football match. humans should be replaced with nanosecond supercomputers (like that sweet piece of ass IBM just dropped... ) and laaayzors.

TBH I think that these bad refs make the game even more interesting to watch :)

Got to agree ... their infinite unpredictability is a supporters delight. Just allows me to rupture my spleen in rage once in a while.

Of course its bloody terrible if shyte happens to the team you support, but the unpredicatbility and the faces of those supporters wronged next to me gives me delight :)

I hate you so much right now...

Stuff that. You watch a game for 90 minutes or god forbid 120 minutes(imagine the poor paying spectators at the ground) only for one of these morons to stuff up yet again. Hell they can ruin an entire season.

Get rid of them ASAP. Bring in technology and have these twits cleaning toilets where they belong

Another howler yesterday in the league cup final. Technology has to be brought in ffs

Sjoe all three major games this past week or so have been marred by colossal errors by the match official morons. Not to mention a hand full of other games like the series of laughable blunders inflicted on the Wolves vs Spurs game.

Tony Pullis has said T.V referrals must be introduced. I agree

Players need to take some responsibility as well. You see week in week out, players trying to con the refs. Its not an easy job. TV referrals is definately the way to go. FIFA has taken a giant step towards irradicating bad tackles and referee errors by banning the Snood in their lastest meeting so I am very hopefull.

How about some players taking the step and become match officials once they're retired. Would be brilliant to see Scholes and Giggs up and down the touchline while Cantona takes the whistle in a Liverpool United clash.

meh I can think of countless "harder" jobs. Retro actively punish players for diving. That will cut it out.

Stupid? Oh no, very smart. How much do you think they make in bribe money?

Why else do you think Fifa has stubbornly resisted adding technology to the game?

:erm:

The officials are SUPPOSED to be impartial... even if they were refs, they would never get that game (or any game with United tbh).

The second part of my post was an attempt at humour.

I think it also works the other way, sadly. Take the Arsenal game on Saturday, for example. Bramble pulled on Arshavin, then as he was falling pushed on Arshavin. Enough so that when Arshavin took his shot, he was off balance and the shot flew wide. Now, Arshavin was honest there, him going down was more likely to get him the penalty, but he took his shot and if he didn't score, advantage should've been given and Arsenal should've been awarded a penalty. Arshavin's honesty cost him the penalty, and Arsenal the 3 points.

It can be a double edged sword.

Totally agree with that, the balance has shifted so much now that its almost expected from players to go down to get something out of it.

Eish another ref ruins a major fixture this time in the CL. 4th one in a row

Yes and Barca are getting involved in one too many of these ref ruined fixtures! For the "BEST" team in the world it sure happens an awful lot!
