I would like to know what those exact regulations are ? It's bull having this brilliant infrastructure that no one can take advantage of due to some bad government regulations.
 
Also, what do they mean by City of Tshwane? The whole municipality, or just Pretoria itself?
 
How can a private company "Telkom" override a government muncipality with regards to the provision of an essential service ?

Good point. I think that everyone got it wrong when they say that Gov has a 40% stake in Telkom. Shouldn't it be that Telkom has a 40% stake in Gov.:D Well, it looks that way.:mad:

BTW. Does anyone know what Cape Town's plans is on doing something like this.:)

I'm also wondering. I'm guessing they mean the municipality since there is no city called Tshwane.
 
So far as I can establish, the whole focus of the Tshwane municipaltity for 2005/2006 and maybe onwards, is to develop the whole area but with emphasis on the northern parts, that is, areas like Attredigeville, Mamelodi, Shosanguve, Mabopane etc. So it is highly unlikely that these parts of the metro will be left out. Also, Centurion will almost certainly be included, seeing that there is lots of commercial activity.

Seeing as how I live in Pretoria, this is great news! :D
