I did this update last night on my HTC Mozart, update process went smoothly.

People are reporting a slight speed increase with apps on the new update which I have seen as well.

The speed increase is supposed to happen with the C&P update which is coming early March. Is the speed increase you're noticing in the running of apps or in the loading of apps?
This update was just supposed to be an update to the backup and update system.

Has anyone received the update to the updater? :)
It's supposed to be 7008.
My T-Mobile HD7 has not received it yet.

My T-Mobile HD7 has not received the update either. Not sure if they pulled it for now due to the few Samsung Omnia 7's getting bricked?

I thought it was only affecting the Samsung Phones.
I've heard that T-Mobile is delaying it. I hope we don't get stuck in the middle of the US carrier decisions like this.
At least they can only delay one update. When C&P comes through they will not be able to delay it for us. (the pre-update will come then too.)

Yeah Jonno. March is here so we don't have to wait too long for answers ;)

I will get my Mozart through MTN no later than Monday. Will let you no if I already got the NoDo update installed. Apparently the devices being shipped now already got the update installed.

I am so excited now I can't really explain!

Haha, I know how you feel and trust me, when you get it, you'll be even more excited :)
Every time I do something on it I end up smiling :)

The Samsung updates are rolling out again today, hope the HD7 is not going to take too long.
Did they say the first 2 weeks of March fo the NoDo update?

Yeah, latest news is the week of the 21st of March ~ http://www.zdnet.com/blog/microsoft/microsoft-france-says-windows-phone-7-nodo-to-arrive-in-the-second-half-of-march/8888
I don't get why the carriers are being so ridiculous? MS RTM'ed the update in late December. It's taking 3 months to get it approved? Something fishy is going on there, almost as if the carriers are trying to kill it off. (In the US that is).

Aint is delayed due to problems updating samsung phones?

Oh yeah, I'm sure that must be another big influencing factor.
It's a firmware problem with some Samsung phones so I can't understand why it's taking Samsung so long to fix it. They have around 6 different firmware revisions. Why can't they just update them to the latest version and get on with the update :)
The leaked NoDo ROMs for the HTC phones show that it was signed and ready to go on the 21st of January. MS are having a hard enough time breaking into the market and this is sure not helping.

Check out this thread (http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=984902) on xda if you're interested in flashing your phone yourself. You might have to hack together a USB cable, but it doesn't seem to bad.

Its good to see some other people enjoying wp7. I bought my HD7 16gb in germany last december and i'm loving it.
