Branch Manager PMB
R 20 000 + medical + provident + R910 cell phone
Reporting to: Regional Operations Manager
Purpose of the job entails: Maximising profitability and growth of the branch through the effective management of people, stock, processes, revenue and expenditure.
Experience
• With Diploma: 3 years Retail management experience
Without Diploma: 5 years Retail management experience
• Recommended: experience in managing a team
• Computer Literate: MS Office Packages
• Financial Knowledge and practical application
• Communication skills (English Literacy)
Qualifications
• Grade 12
• Relevant Management Diploma , focus on retail (NQF 5)
Duties and Responsibilities
Maximise Revenue
• Promote the company within local market in order to attract largest possible customer base
• Maintain exceptional standards of service at all times
• Monitor and communicate performance versus target and implement corrective action plans when necessary
• Manage and monitor average order value and quotation conversion
• Manage and monitor average order value and quotation conversion
Maximise profitability
• Effectively manage and recover distribution expenses
• Effectively manage stock adjustments
• Manage other controllable expenses, such as overtime – part time staff, telephone costs, sundry expenses etc.
• Adhere to prescribed staff complements
• Manage budgeted GP percentage
• Aware of and manages discounting within the companies parameters
• Analyse, identify and institute corrective measures to align expenditure and sales in accordance with budget
Effective Management of Branch Stock
• Identify local market demands and supply accordingly (range man Management of minimum and maximum stock levels,
• A&Z coding and stock files through the effective use of the 80/20 system management)
• Adhere to GRN / RTS procedure to ensure stock accuracy
• Manage obsolete, aged and discontinued stock items
• Manage purchase order progression on a weekly basis (GAD)
Effective Stock Auditing
• Manage and accurately complete bi-annual stock takes
• Manage and accurately complete daily perpetual stock counts
• Manage and accurately random supplier counts
• Manage and accurately set PPI groupings and count frequency
• Randomly audit stock counts and discrepancies
• Sign off all stock count documentation
Implement and maintain company policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance re company policies and procedures in store: admin, finance, HR etc.
Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
• Implement SOP file in store to ensure compliance to company standards
• Flag problematic areas with management immediately
• Corrective action plan in place to address deviations
Health, Safety and security risks
• Implement H&S and Security SOP’s in store to ensure compliance to company standards
• Flag problematic areas with management immediately
• Corrective action plan in place to address deviations
People management
• Ensure that all branch staff achieve delivery of individual KPA’s through effective management, motivation and development
• Assist in setting reasonable performance targets, monitor performance and manage this appropriately
• Manage discipline according to company policies and procedures
• Develops and maintains skills required to meet weekly and monthly sales targets
• Recruit staff in line with company policies and job profile
Optimise customer service
• Maintain excellent customer service at all times
• Effectively manage complaints according to customer complaints procedure
• Ensure timeous execution of commitments made to customers (back orders, deliveries etc.)
Merchandising, housekeeping and presentation
• Maintain The company showroom standards
• Uphold and promote the professional image of the store and The company brand at all times
• Implement, manage and maintain SOP’s
• Effectively manage discontinued stock items on display
• And any other reasonable management instruction.
