Qualifications
• Related B degree /diploma
• 2 – 5 years experience in data and trend analysis
• Knowledge of core business processes (Sales, Logistics, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Finance)
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Cognos / Datawarhouse environment
• Report writing skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong financial background
• Kerridge will be advantageous
• Analytical skills
KPA’s
Analyse statistical data
• Retrieve data from relevant system
• Use strong analytical skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational reporting requirements.
Produce business reports
• Gather reporting requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, business analysis and task and workflow analysis.
• Formalise recommendation into a management report
• Distribute report to relevant managers
Conduct research
• Track and analyse reports on product markets, competitors and customers.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Provide IT solutions
• Think strategically about IT solutions and have a strong problem solving orientation
• Gather and document functional, informational and non-functional requirements
• Model processes, data, organisation and interfaces using strong modelling skills
• Serve as the conduit between Business users and the Technology teams as it relates to the business’ reporting and analysis needs.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with the users from the Finance, Supply Chain (Logistics, Purchasing, Customer Care) Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing areas to analyze information needs, deliver functional requirement documents and to obtain final end-user sign-off.
• Design and develop complex analytical reporting models based on gathered requirements using the newly acquired BI tools to support Finance, Logistics, Order Management, Manufacturing and Sales and Marketing functions.
• Participate in all phases of the BI Upgrade Project Life Cycle: Initiation, Solutions Planning, Building, Testing, Delivering and Closing.
