I've been wanting a WP7 device since they were announced all those months ago.
Randomly my dad flew into the country last week(live in Dubai) and brought he an HD7! :D
Serious win!
The rest of my office all have the Mozart - and I would recommend this over that if you get the chance. The extra screen size is really worth it especially with games and apps where your fingers block the display.

Nice!
Yep, loving my HD7 - the screen size is just perfect. Just wish the capacitive buttons were a tad further from the screen.
Accidental taps are getting fewer but still there.

Accidental taps are getting fewer but still there.I love my Mozart, but I must admit that the Search button do sometimes get in the way and those 3 buttons are SUPER sensitive! But I still love my phone. HTC must seriously look at the camera's though. The camera's they fit in their phones seriously lack in quality. The video are ok, but for stills they are no good.
@roguemat Enjoy your HD7!

+1 ... Mostly when fumbling around with the camera ... I do tend to hit that search button by mistake but a quick "back" button click and I'm back to the camera ;)

Very true, if it happens it's just a tap and bam, you're back to where you were.

Hi
I have been browsing the SA online sellers and saw that it was available but it was not on the service providers websites (MTN, Cell C or Vodacom)
When is the handset coming to South Africa?
TNX
As far as i know the HTC Trophy is the only one that carriers have brought in so far.
I have resorted to buying off Take 2. I it is going to arrive hopfully in the next 2-3 weeks

Am I the only one using a Trophy? I am very happy with my Trophy but is the Mozart a better phone?

That's good to hear! Who are you with?
As far as know it's quite hard to find the Mozart in SA. It has a 3.7" screen (http://telewizor.elektroda.net/lcd.html) (bigger than Trophy). It's also got an 8MP cam with Xenon flash and metal body.
They're an high quality devices though!

I have brand new Mozart for sale if anyone is interested. Sealed in the box and never been used. Won it earlier this week in a Microsoft competition, but not switching from my iPhone. It's listed classifieds for 3300. Any takers?

Thanks for catching that, I was sure I entered 8 but I think the handwriting recognition must have confused it.

The Trophy actually has the bigger screen(3.8 vs 3.7) and a 5MP camera.

Hey guys.
Don't have my HD7 anymore so if anyone is looking for an awesome case for it, I have a brand new Otterbox case for it: http://www.otterbox.com/HTC-HD7-/-HD7S-Commuter-Series-Case/HTC4-HD7XX-20-E4OTR_A,default,pd.html
Totally helps with those recessed buttons on the phone!
Looking for R200 ;)

How's the Sammy's build quality?
I really love HTC's rock solid feel.
That Omina 7's display is gorgeous though...

Build quility is as good viven ... I've played around with one that belongs to a friend of mine a while ago.
Very nice phone. I would actually recommend it over the HD7 IMO. I felt that it had a much better screen and a little better battery life.

SGSII IS tempting ;)
Watched the Google I/O technotes on youtube recently ... very impressive ... I don't blame you ;)
I was the 3rd buyer out of 10 for these HD7s (http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/jsp/item/Item.jsp?Trade_TradeId=41946499 ). I think I got amazing value for my money - R2,750 for a brand new T-Mobile HTC HD7.
I bought this one as a stop gap untill the Mango phones come out (probably only next yesr in SA)
