Good day, i'm busy setting up a wireless internet connection but when I login to my Router(Billion 400G) I.P adress 10.0.0.02 to open up, I enter the username and password as given in the Telkom booklet default username:admin and password:admin. It doesn't work and says I entered the wrong username / password. My caps lock is off. I phoned Telkom and they said I should reset the router. I did. Twice.

Can anyone help me please ;)

Hi did you reset by switching it of and on or did you hold the small reset button in at the back for a while?(the latter being the correct way)

I pushed the reset button

I think you need to push it in and hold it for like a minute in order to completely reset it, not just push it and then let go...

Taken from the Billion 400G user manual.
"When the router is turned on the reset button is used to:
Reset the router: press for 1-3 seconds.
Restore factory default settings: press for 6 – 8 seconds, and
power cycle the router: (useful if you cannot login to the router
or have forgotten your Username/Password.)
Caution: After pressing the RESET button for 6 - 8 seconds, be sure
you power cycle the device.
If the RESET button is pressed for more than 10 seconds, the device
will need to be power cycled before normal operation can be resumed."

Billion default ip will be something like 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

10.0.0.1 is what telkom would have changed the dns to if they did your initial setup

Click your network icon (lan) and look for 'details' and find the ip range the router is emmiting.
