Cell C Speedstick 2GB Promotion. Expiry Date. Confused?

Whenever i do a balance enquiry on my Cell C Data Bundle, i get the following response:

Balance = R 0.00 Expiry date:11/07/2011.Free Data = 1542.27 MB.

What concerns me is the expiry date. 11th of the 7th? Thats July. Or is that the 7th of the 11th? Thats November.

What expires the 11th of July (or the 7th of November)? My free data? Cant be, since i only purchased it last week Sunday.

I think there is somehting wrong with the expiry dates. My expiry date shows 01/01/2030. I am not worried because my date is after my actual expiry date. But yours is before actual expiry date. I think you should call customer care.
 
This seems to be a consistent error on many or all the Cell C bundles. I wouldn't worry about it. Your actual monthly data expires at the end of the month, finish and klaar. If you're on one of the prepaid promotional SIMs, your total free data expires at the end of the 12th month from purchase (though you may still get the first - fractional - month free if they are continuing that practice, meaning you would get 13 months not 12).
 
I think the expirey date refers to the top up ammount... Mine says
Balance = R 85.00 Expiry date:12/03/2012.
Free Data = 1035.15 MB.

The 11th of July looks like that your airtime window/expiry. Your data expiry date isn't displayed. But if your airtime window expires before your data expires, then i think that would expire your data as well....
 
Mine is also wrong. Login to their client section on their website. Does it display the same expiry date?

I'm new to Cell C. Lot of things i dont know. Will look into it. Not so much worried, just confused.

I dont see how R0.00 's worth of Airtime can even expire...

Please note that the expiry date refers to the airtime window, not the actual data. Your 12 month will still carry on.



Also don’t forget that your data doesn’t carry over the next month. Any unused data for the month will be forfeited and 5GIG will be loaded the next month.

I got myself the new 5GB x 12 speedstick package yesterday. The number is ............

Just a quick question please? When I do the *101#, I get the following response: "Balance = R 0.00 Expiry date:16/07/2011.Free Data = 4666.63 MB."

Why does it say 16/07/2011 is the expiry date? Isn't it supposed to be in a years time only, like 31/03/2012?

Yep, same issue as Control Chat. It will magically change to the year 2030 in a couple weeks
 
Why do they say free data? I get no free data, just bundled data. Is anyone getting free data? How do I get in on it?

Did you buy the speedstick promotion thingy that you get FREE data every month for 12 months?

it actually means "Already paid for data in bundle" - if you use that up before end of the month, you need to pay
