EDIT: Hmm, seems like it may not be the case, just that they've updated their release notes page: http://newwp.it/e9FEmP
That must mean that it's coming sooner than it was before :p
Right now, Microsoft started the rollout of the NoDo (copy + paste) update to their servers. http://www.winrumors.com/windows-phone-7-nodo-update-now-available/
Haven't got it on mine yet but should be appearing soon!
Let us know when you receive it and how the update goes

Not on mine yet either.
EDIT: Users on twitter are reporting receiving it - or are lying.

From their Twitter page: @Pkort So far the only information we have is late March and it will be on a rolling schedule. ^EB
I wonder why they decided to add it to the update history when it isn't history. Update Future it should be called.

Ok, I followed these steps: http://blog.walshie.me/
Update appeared and downloaded for 7008. This shows that T-Mobile was indeed blocking the update.
Still waiting for NoDo

Gah, according to a new blog post -
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-us/features/update-schedule.aspx - it seems like NoDo will just take its time to come out.
Here's a table of the update schedule: http://windowsteamblog.com/windows_phone/b/windowsphone/
Testing means the carriers are still testing it, scheduling means it will be coming out in the next 10 days.
I can't believe, after all of the criticism about it, that they can still say 'updates are being rolled out in batches and it may take a few weeks for it to appear on your phone". How can the 'January Update' (which NoDo was called before) take a few weeks to roll out 3 months after it was supposed to be released.
It was first going to be end of 2010 early 2011.
Then end of January.
Then at MWC it was announced for early March
Then delayed to late March
And now they're saying "Oh, the next few weeks."
Yes, it may be better than Android updates but there is no excuse for them to at least be doing it in a fashion similar to Apple.

So T-Mobile and Microsoft officially started the rollout for the T-Mobile HD7 yesterday but as of yet I did not receive it from them.
I was reading around the XDA Developers forum and found this little trick: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1015131
I can confirm it works, just did it now (waited about 8 seconds and then disabled WiFi on both my laptop AND HD7) and the NoDo update appeared!
1. Start Zune
2. Turn off Data connection and Wifi on the Phone
3. Connect the Phone with the PC (USB)
4. Start the update search in Zune
5. About 3 seconds later, disconnect your PC from the internet (Turn WLAN off).
6. Zune finds NoDo-Update. Press OK.
7. Connect to the internet again and install the update.
Should work for all devices that can be updated by the VPN / dialup solution.

Excellent, all credit to 'Noticed' :)
I couldn't believe it would work but didn't want to leave any stone unturned.
My phone is dramatically faster than before, I don't know what you found? Just in listbox scrolling, rendering screens in apps, etc.
Copy & Paste is awesome, very well thought out and the marketplace was sorely needed.
Let's hope the next updates will be smoother and faster.

Can you redo the vid after your update as I would like to know if its update alone and not hardware lag + update?

OK, i now played that last video in the background while using my updated HD7 in the forground. I tried to get all the clicks in time, but a few were ever so slightly off - which makes no difference because the speed differences are massive. Sorry about the terrible recording.

MTN started to push the update to the phones on their Network. I plugged in my phone now and got the notification.
WOOHOO!Ok I started with the update at about 15:45 this afternoon. A while later my baby girl (18months) came in and decided it would be wise to switch off the power plug at the wall. Everything went dead!!! My phone continued till the progress bar got to the end but it took forever. It got to that stage at about 17:30 and stayed there eversince. Zune is picking up a device but also says I need to plug in a device. My phone is still stuck on the update progress screen so I think my phone is bricked!!
I will leave it for the night and if the status does not change, I will take it to MTN so they can change it.
To put it midly - I was fuming when I hear the plug being switched off at the wall.
So... as a general warning. When they tell you on the screen to NOT unplug your phone, switch it or your PC off - they REALLY REALLY mean it!
EDIT: So I decided to manually restart the phone to see what happens. The phone took its time to restart, but eventually came up. Zune also took its time to register the device, but it did and looks like the update did correctly install. But still - try to adhere to those warnings and rather use a laptop which is not directly afected when the power do decide to go down - for what ever reason!

Great to hear that it worked out for you in the end.
It seems like a manual reset of the device fixes up any problems. All those previous reports of Samsung devices being 'bricked' were all fixed by a battery reseat.
Good to know that they've made it salvageable even when it's doing an update like that.
Let us know how it is in the next few days.

Really? You have a PC without a UPS?
You can pick one up for under R500, at least the thing would scream at you when it loses power.
