MyGaming: BREAKING: Microsoft planning new Halo, Fable, Forza titles

microsoft have nothing on sony this year. it seems every month there's another playstation exclusive game releasing. little big planet 2, killzone 3, mlb 11: the show, yakuza 4, socom 4, playstation move heroes. then infamous 2 and uncharted 3 later this year (and maybe the last guardian). ps3 is dominating at the moment - good to see after a couple of slow years in the beginning.

A new Halo? Oh dear... thought the kids had enough of it by now.

Halo, Forza and Fable is all we ever see recently! We want a better variety of exclusives FFS. GoW3 is the only exclusive I'm looking forward to. Pity they lost the Mass Effect franchise.

Why would you call it a loss? I think its a win, because now more people can enjoy one of the best games ever made.

most overrated you mean?

I only use my 360 for kinect, nothing else really. Maybe some GeoW

I have a few problems with this post:

1 - If you are calling Mass Effect overrated, then you are playing games that only Jesus Christ Himself has played and then passed it on to you.

2 - I ONLY have a 360. I was actually saying (contrary to how some of you formulate a biased opinion) that I am not bitter about losing Mass Effect, because now PS3 owners can also play it.

Woops

Read your post wrong. Thought you were talking about Halo, not Mass Effect. Love ME, thought ME2 was one of the best games of last year and i'm glad more people can enjoy it.

Sorry :o

I think I've officially reached the point where I really, really don't care about exclusive this and exclusive that any longer. The Fable franchise licks donkey nads & I've never understood the hype surrounding HALO... I'm equally indifferent to all Sony's much-vaunted exclusives.

95% of worthwhile games now go to both consoles.

Quoted for truth!!!

have you played any one of the following: demon's souls; uncharted 2 or killzone 3? not all of the ps3's exclusives are great, but some of them are right up there with the best. just this last week i've had a lot of fun with killzone 3 and yakuza 4 - both recent ps3 exclusives. and let's not forget uncharted 3 coming out at the end of this year... i'd have to say that there's no excuse to be bored if you own both a xbox 360 and ps3. the ps3 has more high quality exclusives but the xbox 360 is good for arcade/indie titles and a lot of multiplatform games.

The follow-up to Demon's Souls is multi-platform - I'll see what that's like when it comes out. Uncharted... meh - Tomb Raider without the boobies. :p

As for KZ3, I agree with Yahtzee

I've got fairly little against the PS3 as things stand, apart from its insipid controller. The 360 was a better proposition for years, but personally I think they're on fairly equal footing at present. That being said my free time is limited enough that one console more than satisfies my gaming needs.

fair enough. but it doesn't sound like you've even played (let alone finished) these titles. uncharted 2 is much better than tomb raider, believe me. did you miss all the game of the year awards it won in 2009? there's a reason behind that, you know. i'd rather play a mixture of quality titles on 360 and ps3 than all the hyped games on one console, some of which fall flat (i.e. black ops, modnation racers, fable 2 & 3 etc.)

I ain't arguing with you, though. I simply don't have the time nor inclination to busy myself with two consoles - as things stand, either one would fit the ever-shrinking gap.

I can't be arsed to chase the 'next big thing' in gaming any more. The time I do have available to spend twiddling my thumbs in front of the tele isn't even enough to finish the measly few games I did still deem worthy of purchase during the last year or so - Assassin's Creed II, Forza, GTA:IV, New Vegas, Red Dead Redemption... each one took me months.

The only Sony exclusive I can honestly say I do miss is Ratchet & Clank. :o

sorry to hear you've got so little time for gaming. i review games so a lot of my time is spent in front of my pc, ps3, psp or xbox 360. i also rent titles from bt games to fill in any gaps in my catalogue, so i try to focus on the ones right up my alley (demon's souls, uncharted 2, killzone 3 etc.)
