does anyone have a local price for this motherboard, ASUS NVIDIA nForce4 SLI AMD K8 Socket 939 Athlon 64FX/Athlon64 FSB1000

And a Power Supply thats higher than 480Watt.

It doesn't say, how would i know if its deluxe or the platinum.

Where exactly can i get the PSU from Dominic, no one seems to have high wattage power supplies.(is 450watt enough for a dualcore and a 7800GTX)

What else you running?

Hmmm, let me rephrase: 1) How many drives will you be running?
2) How many fans? With or without lights?
3) Any weird LCD displays/lights?
4) Water cooling maybe?
5) How many USB devices you running?
6) How many RAM dimms?

A crapload of stuff needs to be taken into account.

/me slaps meself

There's a cool site you could go to that would work out the wattage of a PC, but I can't remember what it was. I'll have a look if I can find it for you.

Anyway, if your only running one 7800GTX, two drives, two dimms of RAM, a AMDX2 4800+, 4 fans and an LCD display type thingy, a 450W should be enough. If you drop in another 7800GTX you'll need a bigger PSU.

I'm applying to be a dealer at Proton Technology and in their email they sent a pricelist for some strange reason.

I just added a certain amount to the cost price to arrive at the total, however here's a link which sells the specified PSU @ R542.

They're making a tiny profit if they're getting from Prototech.

Ok 5X hard drives
4X512Meg sticks
4Xfans with blue lights
1X7800GTX
1X4800X2
1XDVD writer
only USb will be cordless mouse and PSP and cellphone at times.

Are the hard drives SATA or IDE?

*EDIT* Nevermind I found the site, enjoy: http://www.extreme.outervision.com/index.jsp

Just bear in mind that this is just an estimate. Set the PSU utilization to 100% and go with that figure.

Yeah stay VERY FAR AWAY FROM THE DELUXE VERSION. the NB fan k@ks out fast and is damned annoying. I cant even get the fan off to install the new one I bought.

Ya but is this the mobo with x16 dual for sli??

cause if it is ASUS is the ONLY company that makes the X16 dual pci-e for SLi

Hmm def not the Deluxe or premium then, to my knowledge. Good. No worries about the NB fan then :D

Oh and did you buy this mobo from rectron cause if you did im not supprised, my friend got an aluminium case for R1800 and the corner of it was eaten away by rust and guess what.... THEY WONT TAKE IT BACk so im not surprised if you got a second hand one!!!
