BitTorrent fights movie pirates

Good luck! I am sure somebody is already working on a new tech.

I was reading this article on SlashDot and all the comments were against Cohen for doing this.

Which proves that most BT users are stuff that want everything free and that the MPAA should "embrace techbology" is rubbish.

The creator of software used by millions of computer owners to download movies agreed to prevent his Web site from linking to illegally available movies online,
Yeah? So? Pure PR.

This doesn't really hinder movie pirates in any way as all probably already use alternative sites/search engines. All this is doing is giving free good publicity to Bittorrent.

haha
but torrent etc uses like 2 or 3x bandwidth so its more like 1800MB traffic..

You know, that's exactly what I thought :D

Besides, there's BitSpirit, BitComet,BitLord and a whole host of other clients even if BT decides to crack down. And yes, there are millions of torrent sites. Even local ones.
