Article: Research shows 38 percent want state-owned mines

2000 people...wow, that really gives a good feel for things.
I wonder where/how the survey took place.

It seems fairly useless to me
 
A pre-requisite should have been that respondents actually understood what "nationalization of mines" actually meant. Those in favour can only be assuming they are going to be getting shrt for free

I think the big issue here for all is the fact that the state is too corrupt to trust with such huge amounts of money (Gold, platinum, diamonds, coal, iron etc). If the government was trustworthy and honest it would not be such a huge issue. But they cant manage what they have already, how on earth will they get nationalization of mines running successfully? The money will never get to the poor ... ever.

Its just a bigger gravy train....
 
I thought our population was 40 odd million

Some 38 percent of the 2000 South Africans interviewed want it.
