Comparing eminem to the beastie boys?
Eminem is considered one of the all time greats. There is no comparison i am afraid in my opinion. Dre's new album is out soon as well.
hahaha dont be ridiciulous I agree, there is no comparison, Eminem cant touch the beastie boys, and most of eminems fans are too young to have even heard of the beastie boys, or mixmaster mike haha
btw, beastie boys are ranked higher than eminem on the rolling stones greatest artists of all time

The beastie boys sold 40 million over their 25 year career. Eminem has sold as many.
So if we talking pure numbers here eminem has smashed these guys something amazing.

Yea but they are not just rated due to their hip hop abilities so comparing them is pointless.
They are one of the longest lived hip-hop acts worldwide and continue to enjoy commercial and critical success in 2010, nearly 25 years after the release of their debut album. On September 27, 2007, they were nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I don't need to prove anything or defend the biggest selling hip hop artist of all time.
It's like chalk and cheese but anyhow i suppose when he grows up he will want to be the biggest selling hip hop artist of all time but oddly enough he has already achieved that.
His worldwide album sales stand at over 86.5 million
Damn that is double what the beastie boys sold in 25 years yet you compare them, hmmmmmmmmmmm
Ranked #6 on VH1's 50 Greatest Hip Hop Artists. Where do the beastie boys sit? Eminem is up against the greats like tupac, biggie etc.
I grew up listening to westside connection, dre, tupac etc, never really got into the 80's hip hop. Just not my scene really. I can only think of two rappers better than eminem.

What I like about the beastie boys is that they still have that old skool vibe about them, refreshing when most rappers keep reinventing themselves every few years
